Course Overview

Due to skills shortages and internal practices, team members are often promoted into leadership roles primarily based on technical ability, and it often results in gaps in leadership capabilities becoming apparent only after the promotion.

Focusing on self-reflection, fostering a positive work culture, understanding different leadership styles, and learning how to effectively manage performance, this course is designed to equip leaders with the essential skills and tools needed to lead effectively in today’s rapidly changing environments. The emphasis on getting ‘buy-in’ from team members is particularly important, as it underscores the importance of collaboration and engagement in driving success.

Duration and Delivery

This course consists of four (4) modules, covering foundational skills of leaders

  • Four (4) non-consecutive full-day sessions (8 hours per day)

Generally held one day every 6 weeks.

Delivered face-to-face for up to 18 participants.

Course Customisation

To ensure our training meets the specific needs of your organisation, our Instructional Design Team will facilitate a virtual meeting to customise and contextualise the content.

This includes the activities in line with your workplace procedures and practices, and develop suitable activities, scenarios, and workplace application strategies to ensure meaningful outcomes.

Course Inclusions

  • Workbooks – a take-away workbook of content, activities and notes (from each module)
  • Diagnostic Tools – the course includes a range of online self-assessment tools: Leadership Style, Emotional Intelligence, Communication Style and Response to Conflict
  • Customisation is included in the course cost

Optional Extra

  • Optional: 180° Online Leadership and Management Behavioural Survey (if all 4 modules are completed over a minimum 4 month period) – Conducted pre-and-post course to track learning and development goals and return on investment (additional cost)
  • We recommend eLearning modules be completed by the participants prior to each workshop. This pre-learning will provide the underpinning knowledge for the theorists and reflectors and allow the session to be more practical and application based (additional cost).
