Why Coaching?

As a leader, your people look to you for guidance.

But in these unprecedented times of uncertainty, you’re no doubt being pulled in many different directions. Not only are you required to make strategic decisions rapidly and in areas that you would never have imagined, you’re also tasked with reassuring your teams that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The reality is that in times of crisis, you ‘the Leaders’ need support, too.

A coach during this period is a solution to assist you to navigate through these changing times. Coaching can provide a different perspective to help you make decisions about maintaining organisational performance; business continuity; and the safety, well-being, and financial security of your workforce.

Coaching can also help you work through questions like, “How do I want to ‘show up’ as a leader during this crisis”? “Am I sufficiently resilient to lead effectively through this period”?

In these critical important times, coaching on demand can be a powerful tool. It provides a confidential environment to test ideas, help you manage or regain energy and focus, recall your sense of clarity and purpose, and navigate tough decisions when there is a lot at stake.

Coaching Package Objectives

That is why Future Institute has developed this Coaching Package. The package objective is to:

  1. Provide manager support, your coach will be your sounding board
  2. Help to manage the change that is occurring rapidly around you, such as managing teams remotely
  3. Assist you to develop your resilience

Your coach will work closely through these three areas, however, the key is to be clear on the desired outcomes as a result of the work with your coach.  This will be discussed during your first one on one session.

Coaching Package Inclusions

Session 1

Session 1 – Kick off meeting (1hr via zoom)

  • Initial meeting coach and coachee
  • Provide outline of coaching process
  • Discuss coaching objectives
  • Information gathering
  • Sign the coaching agreement
  • Immediate coaching needs discussed, plan developed
  • Optional diagnostic tools (eg, DiSC personality profiling)

Sessions 2 - 6

Sessions 2 – 6 (1.5hrs each, via zoom)

  • 5 Coaching sessions using the IGROW model
  • Initial coaching session include full debrief of results of diagnostic tools
  • Goal setting techniques and monitoring will be used throughout
  • Development of action plan

Duration and Cost

This coaching package consists of:

  • 6 x Coaching Session
    • 1 x 1 hour introduction (meet and greet)
    • 5 x 1.5hour coaching sessions
    • All sessions conducted via Zoom
    • Optional personality profiling (Extra cost)

We recommend that these sessions are delivered over a 6 month period.
