Growing Leadership Capability at Hofmann Engineering
Hofmann Engineering partnered with Future Institute to deliver a customised leadership development program to support emerging leaders within its workforce. Since commencing in 2021, the program has progressed through five cohorts, forming a key part of the organisation’s succession planning approach.
Purpose & Need
Hofmann Engineering has a large workforce, including many long-term employees. The organisation identified an opportunity to develop emerging leaders as part of its succession plan, ensuring capability growth and leadership continuity.
Solution
Future Institute delivers the BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management as a fully customised program tailored to Hofmann Engineering. The course incorporates the organisation’s procedures, policies, values, and workplace-specific case studies and scenarios.
The program also includes one-on-one coaching, with participants engaging in individual sessions with the trainer between learning blocks to support the application of skills in the workplace

Since its inception, the program has delivered:
- 5 cohorts
- More than 70 participants across the organisation
Outcome & Impact
Following the program, leaders are applying their skills in the workplace. They are demonstrating increased confidence and are better equipped to challenge tasks effectively.
