Cleanaway Leadership Development Program

Cleanaway Industrial Services operates across the mining and construction sectors, offering a broad range of services including vacuum loading, water blasting, closed circuit monitoring, parts washers, and sludge management.
The WA Senior Leadership Team initially identified 16 frontline leaders who demonstrated strong work ethic and a positive approach to their roles. This group was selected to take part in the organisation’s first formal leadership development program. With no previous program of this kind in place, it was essential that the experience was practical, engaging, and tailored to the needs of the participants.
Program Design and Customisation
Future Institute collaborated closely with the Cleanaway WA team to identify the specific development areas for this group. Many participants had not completed Year 12 or undertaken formal study for some time, so it was crucial to design a program that was accessible, practical, and relevant to their day-to-day responsibilities.
The program incorporated real site-based examples and scenarios to ensure direct workplace relevance. Assessments were carefully customised, and the delivery allowed time for one-on-one support from the facilitator to reinforce learning and build confidence.
