Ventia Leadership Development Program
Client: Ventia
Commencement: 2016
Ventia is one of the largest infrastructure service providers in Australasia. During their contract with Inpex in Darwin, the senior leadership team went to market to identify a customised leadership program for their supervisors and middle managers.
Future Institute was the selected provider to customise a leadership program to support their supervisors and improve their confidence and capacity to ensure they had the right tools and skills to complete the project with Inpex on-time and on budget.
Program Design and Customisation
Future Institute customised the BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management program which consisted of 12 units of competency and was delivered onsite at Project Ichthys, Northern Territory. The program included a combination of eLearning, face-to-face workshops and assessments.
The assessments were customised to suit real workplace scenarios and projects. It was designed to be highly relevant to the participants to ensure they were able to immediately apply their new skills, knowledge and capability to their roles as leaders.
Here is what John Mcmanus said about the program during delivery.
“As a project manager I rely on quality training programs for my managers / supervisors that are built around real world experience to ensure that the learning is relevant to the individual’s development and to help produce quality outcomes for the business. I have been highly impressed by the way in which Future Institute aligns and delivers its leadership and management programs.
The quality of their content (both in their interactive eLearning and their face-to-face workshops) and the depth of experience of the trainers has made the decision to reinvest in their programs an easy one. The feedback from our participants (who are mainly supervisors and middle managers) has been exceptionally positive.”
Program Delivery
The delivery of the program was flexible with regards to workshop timings and allowances made for students to meet workplace deadlines. The trainer worked closely with each student outside of the workshops to complete assessments and clarify their action plans. The program was delivered over a 12 month period.
