“Our goal was to lift the bench strength of our people leaders with a broad, solid foundation of practical training that aligned with our ways of working at Humanforce, and Future Institute of Australia delivered!
As a tech business with a history of mergers and acquisitions, we’re focusing on building the skills of leaders who haven’t always had formal development in managing people. While our people are office based technical professionals, we support the frontline and deskless workforce, so vocational training is familiar to us, and a nationally recognised qualification was important.
From a customisation and support perspective, FIOA was a standout. They provided recommendations and customisation to a level I haven’t seen anywhere else. We invested time over the first cohort to deeply customise each part of the program, from selecting the most relevant electives down to including our policies and processes in the workshops, adding real scenarios that our leaders will encounter, in a language they’re already familiar with.

The program reflects not only our leadership capability framework and Humanforce values, but also includes behavioural assessments, diagnostic tools and coaching resources so we can be confident we’re embedding learning and tracking real growth. The pre/post 180° survey has given us a quantifiable way to demonstrate development, both for the individual and across the cohort.
From a participant perspective, the feedback has been how practical and immediately relevant the training was. Leaders were applying their learning straight away, with the support of their managers and real workplace applications.
