Course Overview

Our Custom Skill Set Programs offer a modular, flexible way to deliver Nationally Recognised Training tailored to your workforce. These short, focused programs are built from selected units of competency and are ideal for developing targeted capabilities where you need them most — from leadership and communication to WHS and more.

With this targeted approach, you get the training you need in a shorter, more flexible format, while still providing participants with Nationally Recognised Units of Competency. These can be credited towards a full qualification if they choose to continue their learning in the future.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

 

NOTE:  These are custom skill sets developed to meet specific industry needs. While they consist of nationally recognised units of competency and will result in a Statement of Attainment, they are not listed as official skill sets on training.gov.au. This is a tailored combination of units, selected for their relevance to the intended learning outcomes.

Ideal for: New and emerging leaders building core leadership capabilities.
Focus: Leading people, managing tasks, and fostering effective team relationships.

Operational Leadership (4 days)

Ideal for: Team leaders responsible for delivering outcomes and operational performance.
Focus: Task and workflow management, planning, and driving operational results.

Personal Effectiveness and Wellbeing for Leaders (3 days)

Ideal for: Leaders juggling multiple priorities and seeking tools for balance and resilience.
Focus: Self-leadership, wellbeing, productivity and time management.

Units:

  • BSBPEF401 – Manage personal health and wellbeing
  • BSBPEF402 – Develop personal work priorities
  • BSBPEF502 – Develop and use emotional intelligence

 


 

Leadership Communication and Performance Management (3 days)

Focus: Equiping leaders with the communication skills and tools to manage performance and drive results.

Work Health and Safety Leadership (4 days)

Ideal for: Team leaders, supervisors, or safety champions supporting a safe and compliant workplace.
Focus: Leading WHS initiatives, identifying and managing risk, and embedding safety into everyday operations.

Units:

  • BSBLDR411 – Demonstrate leadership in the workplace
  • BSBOPS403 – Apply business risk management processes
  • BSBXTW401 – Lead and facilitate a team
  • BSBPEF401 – Manage personal health and wellbeing

Delivery Options

A typical delivery model includes:
  • Face-to-Face Training: Facilitated, interactive workshops to build skills and engage participants.
  • Self-Paced eLearning: Complete foundational knowledge at your own pace.
  • Online Assessment: Competency-based assessment tasks completed online with trainer support.

Delivered in two learning blocks of two days each:

Learning Block 1:

Learning Block 2:

  •  BSBWHS414 – Contribute to WHS risk management

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Can individuals enrol in this course?

This course is not available for individual enrolment. It is designed to be delivered in cohorts for organisations with a group of nine or more participants.

Where is the training delivered?

The face-to-face component of this course is delivered in a practical, workshop-style format. Training can be held at your workplace, a venue of your choice, or at our Victoria Park training facilities (for an additional venue hire fee).
