Course Overview
This course supports team leaders, supervisors, and managers to build advanced facilitation skills, with a focus on presence, neutrality, and professionalism. Participants learn how to adapt facilitation techniques to suit diverse learning styles, maintain psychological safety, and confidently manage sensitive or challenging discussions.
Through practical exercises, leaders develop the skills to lead conversations with differing viewpoints, respond effectively to combative behaviour or emotional disclosures, and keep discussions focused on outcomes – creating engaging, respectful, and productive learning environments.
Duration and Delivery
This course offers two options:
- a full-day (8 hours)
- a half-day (4 hours)
Both options are available either as face-to-face sessions for up to 18 participants or as virtual sessions for up to 9 participants.
Course Customisation
To ensure our training meets the specific needs of your organisation, our Instructional Design Team will facilitate a virtual meeting to customise and contextualise the content and activities in line with your workplace procedures and practices, and develop suitable activities, scenarios, and workplace application strategies to ensure meaningful outcomes.

Optional Extras
We recommend an eLearning module is completed by the participants prior to the workshop. This pre-learning will provide the underpinning knowledge for the theorists and reflectors and allow the session to be more practical and application based (additional $59 pp).

- Apply strategies to adapt training methods to suit diverse learner needs based on different learning styles
- Apply advanced facilitation strategies to maintain psychological safety while addressing sensitive or controversial topics

- Respond effectively to combative behaviour, and emotional disclosure
Each participant will take away an action plan to assist in the application of their new knowledge.
