About this Project

We were already working with Future Institute on leadership development with a cohort of participants completing their Certificate IV in Management and Leadership, and wanted to expand the impact to a wider group within Humanforce.

Future Institute worked closely with us to identify high-impact topics and concepts that were already resonating with program participants, such as how to approach difficult conversations, emotional intelligence, delegation and prioritisation.

The intent was to build a resource to reinforce our investment in the vocational leadership training program, something to prime the next cohort and refresh graduates. We got much more.

The team continued to be our trusted experts, recommending highlights and weaving them together in a coherent and engaging experience that we can use (and reuse!) in multiple, valuable ways. The plan was to produce three modules, and Future Institute managed the project milestones on-time and to an exceptional quality. We received regular updates and were able to give feedback on drafts easily.

We are so happy with the result! It loaded straight into our LMS and we’re using it as an introduction to leadership at Humanforce for all leaders. We’re also using it with emerging leaders, and senior customer facing individual contributors, whose role relies on influencing without explicit authority. It’s a highly versatile resource that covers a lot of key information in a practical amount of time.

We chose Future Institute for this project because they were already trusted experts in developing our leaders, the Humanforce way. We knew the lengths they would go to in order to make the experience feel like ‘us’ and not a generic e-learning module. And despite that high baseline, my expectations were surpassed.

How the content has been received

We have shared this content with our senior leadership team, current and emerging leaders and individual contributors who need to influence without formal authority. Their feedback has been that the content was valuable, it was easy to complete and that they have been able to apply their learnings in their roles to positive effect.
