Course Overview

Critical thinking is an essential skill for everyone—whether you’re making everyday decisions, solving problems at work, or communicating effectively. This workshop introduces key principles and practical models to strengthen critical thinking, with a strong focus on structured analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making techniques.

Participants will explore how to question assumptions, evaluate information objectively, and apply tools such as SWOT and PESTLE analysis, De Bono’s Six Thinking Hats, and the 6-Step Critical Thinking Process.

By developing their critical thinking skills, participants will enhance their ability to solve problems, make informed decisions, and approach challenges with clarity and confidence—both at work and in everyday life.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

  • Establish the role of critical thinking in the workplace
  • Define critical thinking, its principles and importance in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Develop analytical skills using SWOT and PESTLE Analysis tools, and Bloom’s Taxonomy Model
  • Identify and differentiate between various critical thinking skills, such as analysis, evaluation, and inference
  • Apply critical thinking models and theories, such as De Bono Thinking Hats, Divergent Thinking vs Convergent Thinking, and Idea Generation Progression Process
  • Understand an apply the 6 Steps of Critical Thinking
  • Develop problem solving techniques
  • Evaluate personal critical thinking abilities and develop strategies for continuous improvement
