Joyce is a freelance consultant, with over 28 years of experience in organisational consulting. Joyce has designed and delivered learning and development programs across a range of topics including governance, decision making, leadership, performance management, team work, communication skills, presentation skills, writing skills, emotional resilience and customer service, and has facilitated many team planning sessions.

CAREER PROFILE

  • An experienced and nationally accredited mediator with over 20 years’ experience, Joyce provides mediation between individuals and incorporates mediation principles and an analytical approach into projects with teams experiencing difficult working relationships and tense environments. She also facilitates sensitive dialogues between managers and staff including those relating to performance concerns and return to work.
  • Joyce has been a freelance consultant since 2016, working directly with clients and as a sub-contractor with a range of organisations. Her work has encompassed workforce planning, mediation, learning and development design and delivery and 360 leadership surveys.
  • Prior to becoming a freelance consultant, Joyce worked with a Canberra based company, Effective People, for eight years as a consultant, becoming Group Manager, Consulting Services in 2012.
  • Prior to joining Effective People, Joyce spent 15 years working with a national provider of corporate psychological and HR services, including Employee Assistance Programs. For the last five years of her time with the company, Joyce was ACT Regional Manager, responsible for all aspects of operations. Joyce was also the primary account manager for major national clients and the lead organisational development consultant. =
